This Privacy Policy describes how Scaper ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and handles information about you when you use the Scaper RuneLite plugin, website (scaper.icu), and associated services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

When you use the Scaper RuneLite plugin, the following game data is automatically transmitted to our servers:

RuneScape display name (RSN) — used to identify your character and associate it with your account.
Skill levels, XP, and stats — displayed on your personal dashboard and shared with your clan.
Boss kill counts — used to power clan events, leaderboards, and your activity feed.
Loot drops and collection log entries — logged for your personal activity feed and clan events.
Equipment and inventory snapshots — stored as part of your player profile snapshot.
Clan chat messages — bridged to your clan's private Discord channel.
Combat achievement progress — displayed on your dashboard.
Quest states — displayed on your dashboard.

When you link your Discord account, we also store:

Your Discord user ID — used to associate your Discord profile with your RSN.

We do not collect passwords, payment information, or any data beyond what is listed above.

2. How We Collect Information

Data is collected automatically by the Scaper RuneLite plugin, which sends periodic snapshots to api.scaper.icu approximately every 30 seconds while you are logged into OSRS. You must install the plugin voluntarily for any data collection to occur.

Your IP address is briefly visible to our servers when the plugin or your browser connects, as is standard for any internet request. We do not store, log, or share your IP address.

3. How We Use Your Information

The data we collect is used solely to operate the Scaper Service, including:

Displaying your stats and activity on your personal dashboard.
Powering clan features such as the Discord bridge, leaderboards, and events.
Verifying your OSRS account identity when you link your Discord profile.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, advertisers, or analytics providers.

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active on the Service. If you unlink your account from the dashboard, your player data and account association are permanently deleted from our records. Clan chat message logs may be retained for a short rolling window to support the Discord bridge and are not archived long-term.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service interacts with the following third-party platforms:

Discord — used for account linking, role assignment, and clan chat bridging. Your use of Discord is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.
Jagex / Old School RuneScape — the plugin reads publicly available game state from the RuneLite client. No data is sent to Jagex by Scaper.
OSRS Hiscores — the plugin may query the public OSRS hiscores API to retrieve your boss kill count totals. This is a read-only public lookup.
Cloudflare — the website and API are served via Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare may process connection metadata per their own privacy policy.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data stored on our servers. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your data at any time by unlinking your account in the Scaper dashboard. For any additional data requests or concerns, contact us at the address below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
